Brett Swenson

Brett Swenson received his undergraduate degree from Chapman University in Orange, California, graduating with honors as a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. He has continued his academic career at Chapman University School of Law where he is pursuing a certificate in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, and is also a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, Mock Trial Honor Board and Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Board. Previously Mr. Swenson worked as a law clerk for a civil litigation firm handling landlord/tenant disputes. He now works in the same capacity for the Law Offices of Virginia L. Landry, Inc. where he assists in research, drafting of motions and general case management.

In 2011, Mr. Swenson participated in the National Pretrial Competition at Stetson University College of Law in Florida. This competition is unique in that it combines elements of moot court and mock trial, requiring students to have both a firm grasp of the law and the skills necessary to examine witnesses. Mr. Swenson and 3 of his colleagues made it to the semi-finals stage of the competition where they ultimately placed one spot ahead of Georgetown
